Click to check availability and make booking for The Smithy The Smithy is located in the tranquil rural hamlet of Mosser four miles south of Cockermouth and the Vale of Lorton. Just a short drive from Crummock Water and Loweswater in the Western Lakes.
The cottage as the name suggests was originally a blacksmiths forge built of local stone and slate and has recently been sympathetically restored, retaining its charm and character, including vaulted ceilings and original beams, making this a cosy, traditional cottage.
The cottage is heated by electric heaters and comprises open plan kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave, a Lounge/Diner with electric stove-effect fire, Freeview TV, video and DVD/CD player. Double and single bedroom, shower room with wash hand basin and WC.
All electric, bed linen and towels are included. Private parking. Picnic area with seating. Sandy Beck stream runs through the bottom of the grounds.
