At the gateway to the Northern Lakes sits the small gem town of Cockermouth, famous for being the birth place of William Wordsworth. The long and wide tree lined Main Street has many quality shops, pubs and restaurants. Leading off the main street are more picturesque streets, and squares. The river Derwent, Memorial Gardens, Wordsworth House and Harris Park are all within a five minute stroll of the town centre. Visitors to the town can tour and sample the produce of Jennings brewery which is famous for making excellent real ales. The vale of Lorton, Crummock Water and Loweswater are a short drive away making Cockermouth an ideal location from which to explore the Northern Lakes.
Church Walk is a traditional cosy cottage which has recently been refurbished to a very high standard yet still retains many original features it is located on Kirkgate which is the older part of the town with cobbled forecourts and many period properties. The Kirkgate centre and Market Place are a short stroll away with many fine pubs and restaurants this area is sure to appeal to all. The gas centrally heated accommodation briefly comprises:
