This 18th century cottage is situated in the centre of the village of Dacre only 2 miles from the shores of Lake Ullswater and within a 15 minute drive of the market town of Penrith.  The village has its own castle, a pretty church and a pathway to Dalemain House.  Lake Ullswater with its steamers and water sports is close by as is the dramatic Aira Falls, the traditional village of Pooley Bridge is just over a mile away with pubs, café, restaurant and shops.

The cottage is centrally located in the village and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and an abundance of walks from the door.  Modern day living has been sympathetically combined with traditional features including beams and an open fire.

Rose Cottage is centrally heated and comprises:  Dining/lounge with beams, coal fire, colour TV, DVD player with a selection of DVD’s and CD player.  Kitchen with electric cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.  First Floor:  Two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom.  Bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.  

All electric, an initial supply of coal and logs and bed linen included.  Cot and high chair available.  Private parking for 2 cars.  Rear garden with garden furniture.

Prices are per cottag, NOT per person

Minimum number of 3 nights for short breaks

Short breaks will only be accepted out of season or on a last minute basis during high season
