Watermillock is located on the northern shores of Lake Ullswater bordered by the lake on one side and the majestic mountains on the other. The adjacent caravan site has a shop and children's play area, there is a unique bar next door and within a short drive there are many watersport facilities available including the Ullswater steamer. With many scenic walks from the door and the market town of Keswick and Penrith both within a 20 minute drive, Watermillock is the ideal base for those who enjoy the great outdoors away from the hustle and bustle of the busier parts of the Lake District.The cottage is in an elevated position approximately 1 mile above the lake at the entrance to a Bellamy Award Gold Award winning caravan site.
Watermillock Cottage has been sympathetically converted from a grade II listed farmhouse dating back to 1680. Many original features remain including oak doors and floors, beams in abundance, window shutters and stained glass windows.
Watermillock Cottage has oil central heating and comprises: Beamed lounge with feature sandstone fireplace with open fire, colour plasma TV, DVD player, window seat with mullion windows and a selection of books and games. Beamed dining room. Kitchen with Aga, Belfast pot sink, microwave, dishwasher, table and chairs with views over the garden. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer.
First Floor: Two double bedrooms, twin bedroom and family bedroom with double and single bed. Luxurious shower room with hand basin and WC. Luxurious family bathroom with hand basin and WC.
All oil, electric, bed linen and free wi-fi access included. Cot and trip trap highchair (own straps are required) available. Private parking for 2 cars. Patio with furniture and shared use of the sunken trampoline and large children's playhouse with lights.
The cottage is next door to Ivy Cottage and can be rented together to sleep 15 people.
