Bush Cottage is located in the charming peaceful village of Tallentire, on the edge of the Lake District National Park and just 3 miles from the bustling market town of Cockermouth.  Bush Cottage is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the beautiful, spectacular lakes and mountains of the western Lake District and especially the breathtaking scenery of Wastwater, recently voted “Britains favourite view”.  The area has the added advantage of being one of the quieter corners of the Lakes making it easy to escape the crowds.  A ten minute drive to the west will take you to the Solway Coast, a designated area of outstanding national beauty with its unspoilt blue flag beaches.  

There is a village pub with bistro restaurant nearby, serving good food and prize winning real ales

Bush Cottage has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard, has central heating and comprises: Lounge with freeview TV, DVD player, video and wood burning stove.  Kitchen/diner with electric oven, grill and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. 

First Floor: Double bedroom with views to the Solway Coast and twin bedroom.  Bathroom with shower over bath, WC and hand basin.  Please note the staircase is fairly steep and may not be suitable for very young children or the elderly.

All oil, electric, logs, bed linen and towels included.  Cot available.  Ample on street parking outside the cottage.  Sunny secluded garden with lawn and patio area with garden furniture.

Short breaks will only be accepted out of season or on a last minute basis during high season
