Dating back 350 years High Greenrigg was once a typical Lakeland Hill Farm and Steading, but now it has been painstakingly renovated to provide 3 delightful cottages nestling in unspoilt countryside with peace and tranquillity all around. Located in the Northern Lakeland Fells, 3 miles South of Caldbeck with its traditional village green, duck pond, ancient church, village shop and pub, High Greenrigg House offers high and lowland walks from the door. Known locally as ‘Back O Skidda', the Skiddaw fells are glimpsed to the South and the Caldbeck Fells rise majestically behind. The cottages have been renovated to provide for your every comfort and combine modern day living with some of the original features including beams, hay loft, stable doors and much more.
Brae Fell Cottage, adjoining High Pike Cottage, is heated by oil fired central heating and comprises: Entrance hallway with scullery with washing machine and tumble dryer. Characterful open plan living/dining/kitchen with beams and original wooden byre stalls separating the dining kitchen from the living area. The living area has exposed stone wall with living flame gas stove, colour TV, DVD recorder and Hi-fi, the kitchen incorporates electric double oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. Double bedroom with 5'bed and en-suite shower room with WC and hand basin. First floor: Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Double bedroom with king sized four poster bed, colour TV and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC and hand basin..
All cottages have gas, electric (except for laundry with facilities for which there is a charge), bed linen and towels provided. Each property has a trouser press, electric blankets and a hairdryer in each bedroom. Ample private parking. A warm welcome awaits you from the owner who lives next door. Please note arrival time is 4.00 pm.
