The market town of Penrith is home to Monnington View which is a semi detached house situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in an elevated position with magnificent views over the town to the distant Lakeland fells. Penrith, known as the gateway to the Lakes, has a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants as well as many other facilities to keep the whole family amused during your stay including a weekly open air market, car boot sale and cinema. Lake Ullswater is only a 10 minute drive offering trips around the lake on the steamer, south Lakes is easily accessible via a scenic trip over Kirkstone pass and Keswick is only a 20 minute drive from Penrith. Ideally located to enjoy the whole of Cumbria, the historic city of Carlisle with shopping centre, Castle and museum is only half an hour away, as is Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish Borders.Built into a hillside Monnington View is accessed at ground level, is centrally heated and comprises: Dining/lounge with superb panoramic views over Penrith to the distant Lakeland fells, plasma colour TV, DVD player, video and dining furniture. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Garage housing washing machine and cloakroom with WC. Lower ground floor: Double bedroom with TV and DVD player. Double bedroom and single bedroom. Bathroom with spa bath, shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.
