Stainton is ideally placed to enjoy the Northern Lake District and Eden Valley, being only 10 minutes from the market town of Penrith with a wealth of shops, pubs, restaurants and an open air Saturday market. The Eden Valley with its tranquil lanes ideal for cycling are within a 15 minute drive and Lake Ullswater the most romantic lake in the Lake District is only a 5 minute drive away. Stainton has a village inn, post office and church and the Rheged Discovery Centre is only minutes away.Smithy Cottage dates back to the 1700s and has retained much of its traditional charm. Set in its own mature gardens the cottage is ideal for those looking for a retreat away from the madding crowds but within easy reach of the many activities Cumbria has to offer. It is beautifully furnished and is a comfortable base to explore the Lake District.
The house is gas centrally heated and comprises: Lounge with colour TV, DVD player, Hi-fi, log burning stove and bed settee for 2 extra guests. Dining/kitchen with ‘Esse' range cooker. The utility room has fridge, freezer, microwave, washing dryer and dishwasher. Master double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom with cast iron ‘slipper' bath, hand basin and WC.
First Floor: Twin bedroom with built in wardrobe. Double bedroom with four poster bed, shower and hand basin. Bathroom with shower, hand basin and WC.
All gas, electric, logs, bed linen and towels are included. Private parking for 2 cars. Large lawned garden with patio and garden furniture.
