Threapland is located midway between Keswick and Cockermouth in an area of unspoilt countryside. Keswick and Cockermouth are both within a 15 minute drive and Bassenthwaite Lake, Crummock Water, Skiddaw and Grisedale Pike are all close by.Saplings Cottage is set in 80 acres woodland next to Threapland Moss bed and breakfast. Local wildlife including dears and fox can be regularly seen roaming the grounds. Ideally suited for the active outdoor enthusiast with fishing, golf, water sports and horse trekking all close by, or for those wanting the tranquillity of a hideaway location. Stabling can also be provided for those who wish to bring their own horse (additional cost). The cottage has retained many traditional features including beams and stone fireplace.
Saplings Cottage is all on one level, is centrally heated and comprises: Lounge/dining room with colour TV, video, open fire and dining furniture. Fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Double and twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
All gas, electric, logs and bed linen included. Ample private parking. Cot and high chair available. There is a lawned garden with furniture and barbeque, guests can smoke in the outside areas. By arrangement guests have use of a nearby pool and spa. Babysitting service available and a welcome tray and flowers on arrival. Guests can bring their own horse by arrangement and additional charge, help can be given in arranging entry into local competitions and planning suitable treks.
