For an adventure in the Lake District the Brockhole Adventure Centre in Windermere. It has fantastic tree top nets adventure course and gardens to explore.
Or you may be an adrenaline junky and want to take part in an off road adventure with Kankku. Putting you in the driving seat of their 4×4 vehicles. You can discover the Lake District from a new angle and takes you on various trails off the beaten track.
Enjoy the Great Outdoors
For those lookingfor a stay in the Lakes and want to explore the great outdoors. There is Grizedale Forest and Whinlatter Forest. With a variety of walking and cycling routes for all of the family to enjoy through the woodlands. There are sculptures to be discovered, maps to be followed and refreshments to enjoy in the café.
We have a number of houses and castles to explore throughout the Lakes & Cumbria. In particular there is Lowther Castle & Gardens, Nr Penrith in the Eden Valley. This is a ruin of a castle which has been transformed into an attraction for all the family. You can learn the history of the castle and how it came to be a ruin, explore the gardens. Not forgetting the little ones there is ‘The Lost Castle’ hidden deep in the woods. This is an outdoor adventure play ground with tunnels, nets, rope swings, Play Park and much more for all the family. There is also a gift shop and café which has many homemade cakes, soups and light lunches.
For the extremely adventurous visitors there is Go Ape a tree top adventure. With obstacles to climb, zip wires and Tarzan swings, all high up in the trees. There is also a smaller course for younger ones.
Or if you want to relax and enjoy the scenery you could take a trip with the Ullswater Steamer. Sail across England’s most beautiful lake.
