The poet Wordsworth, described this area of the Lakes as “the loveliest spot that man hath ever known”.

Tirril is ideally located for those who wish to explore the Lake District and Eden Valley with many local attractions close by including the Ullswater Steamers, Lowther Castle and the Bird of Prey Centre where visitors are able to see over 150 falcons, hawks, eagles and buzzards from this country and abroad. You could go pony trekking at nearby Stockbridge and whilst trekking along pretty country lanes enjoy the views overlooking Ullswater. The nearby town of Penrith has many shops, pubs, bars and restaurants, there is also a sports centre with swimming pool. Whatever your hobbies or interests there is plenty to see and do.
