  • March 11th -14th 2016 - We had never been to the lakes and this lovely cottage provided the perfect base to explore. We enjoyed the cottage’s homely feel and the location was great, not far from Windermere and Bowness. Thanks for having us. Vanessa & Lisa.

  • Dec 22nd - 29th 2015 - Simply Perfect! From the moment we arrived till the day of departure this beautiful cottage provided all that one would ask for. On arrival we could see the Christmas tree sparkling through the window & the second we stepped through the door if felt like home away from home. So cosy we barely left the cottage. Thank you for having us Dom & Kelly

  • Lovely stay in an ideal location for exploring. The fire keeps the place nice and warm, and the local spar shop in Staveley sells bags of logs if the garage on the main road has run out. Recommended a 3 mile walk from Ambleside up to Sweden Bridge and back, if looking for something more gentle but still good views, path one way and over fields coming back. Thanks for a great stay. • Such a lovely cosy cottage in a wonderful setting. Enjoyed many walks especially the ones where we ended up in the pub !! The Watermill in Ings and the Eagle and Child in Staveley serve tasty food and local ales. The weather was great but we enjoyed the cosy log burner in the evenings. Can't wait to come again.

  • This is a lovely little cottage situated just outside the village of Staveley. We arrived to find the radiators on to ensure a warm welcome and trust me there was plenty of hot water, ( see previous review). The cottage is small but very well laid out with a nice living room, kitchen and dining room built on. It was spotlessly clean...It is in a small cul-de-sac off the main Kendal to Windermere road but you have a parking space in a secluded area behind the cottage and a small enclosed patio so it was no problem. I brought my little dog who was very safe in this contained garden. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
