“Idyllic location” Glen Cottage is perfectly based for exploring the Lakes and Countryside with easy access to Windermere across Kirkstone Pass. The cottage is spacious and cosy with great views all around. The owners made us feel most welcome on arrival and we were given fresh farm eggs and they also left two dog biscuits in a bowl for our pet, which was a loverly gesture. All round a great stay. If you love the peace and quiet, Glen Cottage is the perfect getaway. Brenda E: April 2017
"Delightful cottage in the peace and quiet" A lovely little cottage where we spent a really enjoyable few days with our dogs exploring the beautiful countryside around. A really nice touch of fresh eggs greeted us when we arrived and when meeting the delightful owner we were very kindly offered more, from the chickens in the garden! With Ullswater lake just down the road it is a great place from which to enjoy all the different areas around the lake. We really enjoyed Aira Force and walking back around the lake on the Ullswater way after taking the steamer up the lake. We would definitely recommend and we have even talked about taking the adjoining 8 bed cottage as well in the future and come up with the whole family. gregorgillanders: September 2016
"Amazing Place" We have just come back from a 3 night break at Glen Cottage and all I can say is the place is stunning inside and out! the owners are very welcoming and helpful, the views are beautiful and its so peaceful - I cant wait to go back but will be booking longer as there is so much to do and see! - the fresh eggs and dog treats were much appreciated and made us feel even more welcome :) Kelly: October 2016
