Heather Cottage is a cosy ground floor cottage is located next to the owners home, an artist who is happy to show guests her studio. With walking and mountain biking opportunities the cottage is an ideal retreat at any time of year with a wood burning stove and patio garden.

The area is a haven for wildlife lovers and bird watchers with regular visits from pheasants, woodpeckers and red squirrels. Located at the base of the Pennines, there are many great walks on the doorstep and the rural roads are great for cycling. Within 3 miles are the villages of Kirkoswald and Lazonby both with pubs and village shops, Lazonby also has an open air swimming pool. There are more shopping opportunities and restaurants in Penrith or Carlisle, both only 25 minutes drive.

Heather Cottage is a sandstone, ground floor cottage, adjacent to the owners home in the rural hamlet of Park Head, located one mile from Renwick at the foot of the northern Pennines. Heather Davies, the owner, is a painter. Her work has been included in exhibitions nationally and locally. She is a member of the Lake Artist's Society and has paintings every year in their Summer Exhibition in Grasmere. Guests are welcome to visit her studio.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor, except for three steps down to the comfortable sitting area, with a quaint wood burning, pot bellied stove. This characterful cottage is heated by night storage heaters and comprises:

• Open plan kitchen/dining area with beams and flagged floor, equipped with electric cooker, microwave and fridge.
• The dining area overlooking the sitting room with TV and DVD player.
• The hallway leads to the bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
• Double bedroom with antique brass bed and view to the garden.
• Single bedroom.

• All gas, electric, logs, bed linen and towels included.
• Cot available.
• Private parking and lockable area for bikes.
• There is a small area with seating adjacent to the cottage, but guests are welcome to sit in the owners garden and enjoy the magnificent views of the Lakeland Fells.
