Within an hour’s drive you have the highland town of Fort William and Ben Nevis, and closer still you have the glorious gardens of Argyll, numerous historic castles (Dunollie House in Oban is worth a visit) museums and ancient standing stones in the birthplace of Scotland at Dunadd.
