Lanercost Priory forms the backdrop to these 2 modern, contemporary apartments. Recently the priory has added a tea room and farm shop in the courtyard and is attracting visitors to this historic site. The priory dates back to 1611 and some parts are now in ruins and the main building having been restored in 1740 is now used as the parish church. Lanercost is 2 miles from Brampton with shop and pub and is close to Hadrian’s Wall and is an ideal stop off point for those who intend to walk the wall. Located within a 15 minute drive of Carlisle with a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants Lanercost Apartments are in an ideal location for those wishing to explore the northern Lakes, historic Carlisle and Hadrian’s Wall. The tea room opposite is great for breakfast or lunch, or if you plan to head off for the day they will prepare a packed lunch for a small charge.

The apartments, have been converted from the former barn of the original farm and have retained period features including a wealth of cruick beams.
