OVERVIEW

Meadow Bank Lodge is a quaint, characterful cottage in the picturesque village of Staveley with its wood burning stove this makes for cosy nights. Once an Old Granary the cottage has a garden for al fresco dining and relaxation and is in an area ideal for walkers and cyclists with routes from the door.


Staveley is an ideal choice for a self catering holiday. The village is located half way between the picturesque resort of Windermere and the market town of Kendal and lies at the foot of the Kentmere Valley, a wonderful place, which is very popular for walking, cycling and has stunning panoramic views of both the north and the south Lake District. For those wanting to relax and unwind the village is host to shops, cafes and of course the Hawkshead Brewery, with its own bar and bistro on site, next to the renowned Wilfs café serving delicious home made food. At the end of a long day sightseeing you can always call in at one of the local pubs where you can enjoy some of the local homemade food.


Meadow Bank Lodge, once an old granary, still retains many of the original features including a fabulous log burning stove for those cosy nights in after a long walk on the fells. This characterful cottage unrivalled views of surrounding fells from the lounge, bedroom windows and private garden. With the added advantage of a garden to sit and relax in and the children’s playground is only a two minute walk away, this makes an ideal place for families and couples to use as a base to tour the Lake District as there is a bus stop, train station, shops and 2 pubs within a 5 minute walk, ideal for those wanting a change from the car.


The gas centrally heated cottage comprises:
