In the churchyard of Crosby Ravensworth is a 7th Century cross, St Lawrence's Church has been called a Cathedral in miniature, situated within a lovely peaceful setting beside the Dalebanks Beck. Crosby Ravensworth Fell can be accessed from a bridleway called "Slack Randy" and can be the starting point for many walks, the path being at the south end of the village just past Croft House Farm on the road to Orton, just minutes from the property.
