Staveley is often referred to as the gateway to the lakes, it sits nestled between the Rivers Gown and Kent and is ideally placed just a 20 minute’s drive from the M6 motorway, it is also on the main train and bus routes so is ideal for those traveling by public transport. The Kentmere Valley is only a short walk away from Seed Howe Cottage and has numerous walking and cycling opportunities available. The main villages of Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere are within a short driving distance so you can visit famous attractions such as the Windermere Steamers and the Dove Cottage museum. Staveley itself has a small selection of tearooms and traditional pubs for you to enjoy after a day exploring the Kentmere Valley.
