A network of bridleways and quite lanes provides a wide variety of routes making Staveley a hub for enthusiasts. Cycle hire is available from Wheelbase in the village centre. For those looking for a more relaxing break, explore all manner of artisan craft, food and locally brewed beer in Staveley Mill Yard. Take a walk along the Dales Way through quiet lanes and farmland to the popular villages of Windermere or Bowness, rewarding you with panoramic views along the way. Staveley is an ideal base for those without a car. The market town of Kendal and the popular holiday village of Windermere can both be reached quickly by train or bus from the village centre. Whilst retaining its working village roots away from the busiest tourist hotspots, there is plenty going on including live music at the Brewery along with a good variety of places to eat out.
