Located next door to Fox Howe the cottages can be rented together.

Thornthwaite is located 3 miles north west of Keswick between the Whinlatter Forest and Bassenthwaite Lake. Walking from the door can be enjoyed in the nearby forest along with the treetop adventure, Go Ape, and a picnic by the lake is only a few minutes away. Thornthwaite Gallery and tea room regularly displays the work of local artists and afternoon tea is a must. The nearby villages of Portinscale and Braithwaite have village shop and pub and Keswick is a 10 minute drive where a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants await and after a night out, take the late bus back to Thornthwaite.
