The Templars is situated in the delightful village of Temple Sowerby, only a short drive from Appleby, Penrith and Ullswater. Temple Sowerby is a pretty village situated mid way between Penrith and Appleby, an ideal base for holidaymakers to explore the delights of the Lake District, Eden Valley and Dales. The village of Temple Sowerby is set around a village green, and gets its name from the Knights Templar, who once owned Sowerby Manor. There is a village pub and restaurant both within walking distance and on the fringe of the village is Acorn Bank Garden and water mill which is now owned by the National Trust and is home to some 250 species of culinary and medicinal plants. The glittering lake of Ullswater extending from Pooley Bridge to Patterdale is only a short drive away: you could simply laze alongside the waters, jump aboard the famous Ullswater steamer and enjoy a lake cruise or take a leisurely walk whilst experiencing some of the most amazing scenery in the Lakes. After a day exploring The Lake District and surrounding areas why not enjoy a meal at the local Kings Arm restaurant and use your £20 voucher.
The Templars is a beautifully furnished and equipped detached house providing spacious accommodation which is situated in a quiet but central residential area of the village. An ideal base for families or groups of walkers wishing to explore the area.
The oil centrally heated accommodation comprises:
- Open plan lounge/diner with electric stove effect fire, TV with freeview and program recorder, DVD, video player and French doors lead from the dining area outside to the rear garden.
- Very well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.
- Garage with utility and games areas, with washing machine and freezer, selection of books, games and jigsaws, dart board, football and air hockey table and computer with internet access.
- First floor: Master double bedroom with en-suite shower room, hand basin and WC.
- Twin bedroom with I-pod docking station.
- Double bedroom. Family bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
