VINE COTTAGE, Cartmel, South Lakes

Vine Cottage is situated in the centre of Cartmel overlooking the famous village race course. The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps six. An ideal base for anyone wishing to explore the Southern Lake District.

Cartmel is one of the most ancient villages in the Southern Lake District, it was developed around the 12th century priory which still stands to date and is described as one of the most outstanding buildings in the North of England.

The village houses a variety of interesting shops and traditional pubs set around its main square and in the narrow winding streets leading from it there are a variety of interesting buildings.

Vine Cottage is a delightful and characterful double fronted cottage overlooking Cartmel race course, which hosts steeple chase meetings attracting visitors from all over the country. There are window seats in both front bedrooms from which you can sit and take in the scenery or watch the races.
