“The cleanliness was the main big issue which we contacted the owner about.”
They suggested a spring clean on are last full day there which isn't practical, since we had a lot of are personal belongings inside.
I didn't feel comfortable there with the appalling cleanliness mainly with the dust and cobwebs. The toilet rim was dirty also and the kitchen sink had black scum around the edge.
We all felt cramped with our baby and not suitable for a family, it is a lot better for a couple only. We couldn't wait till we left to go back to a clean home. Even though it is dog friendly it should still be cleaned at an exceptional standard, since covid happening especially. We won't be going back and feel that we had over spent for what we had.
However the facilities and the free wine and water was a nice gesture.
Many thanks for your feedback relating to your recent stay at Brigham Row cottage. You state you were unhappy with the cleanliness of the property and that you contacted the owner. The owner immediately offered to visit the property the following day to carry out a deep clean, which you promptly declined as your personal belongings were inside the property. Upon further investigation, it appears you did not make such contact until 7pm on day three of your four night stay. Had you contacted us sooner, we would have been only too happy to arrange for a housekeeper to visit the property. However, as your main concern was dust, and at the time you raised the issue with the owner you had been in the property for three days, it would be difficult to determine dust levels at the time you checked in. This would be the same for the toilet and sink. You state you felt cramped however the property is popular with families who give positive feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed the complimentary wine, water, chocolates and biscuits. Property Owner
