    • “Excellent Cottage”

    • “A lovely cottage right in the heart of Keswick which was perfect for our family, including grandad and small children. Easy access to main street, lake and the playground up the road. The best children's playground we've seen! The beds in the cottage had just been changed and were super comfy and the cottage was lovely and warm. It was perfect for our needs. Perfect for popping back after shorter walks/trips and plenty of takeaway options on the doorstep.”

    • “Myself and five friends travelled to the lakes for a holiday aimed at experiencing all the best food and drink in the lakes. The accommodation was brilliant and very central to the town and all the necessary amenities. I would recommend this property to all as it has plenty of room for up to ten people and a big kitchen and dining room.”

    • “Nice place to stay - plenty of room”

    • “We booked this place last minute and Jill was very helpful and accommodating. We are 4 middle aged women doing a bit of a quick look around the North of England. Keswick was a great place to visit and Jubilee Cottage is very roomy with a good sized kitchen, separate good sized dining room and comfortable lounge room on the ground floor. The second floor has 2 large bedrooms, a shower room and main bathroom and the upper floor has another 2 roomy bedrooms. Comfortable beds and nice and clean - bedrooms all had a wash basin and mirror. It has a front courtyard with seating and when the weather was clear, was a great place to sit!! Very close to town centre and an easy walk even for the oldest of us to have a wander around the town square.”

    • “Clean, cosy and well equipped, town centre right on the doorstep, lovely walks, And surrounding area, we would have prefarred an enclosed back garden for the dog, without worry of him getting out in the road, but still an enjoyable stay.”

    • “comfortable, clean, convenient, commendable.”

    • “Only just enough space for one small car. Road parking outside was very busy. Position for town and take-aways and shops. Fantastic!! Downstairs facilities great. Well provided kitchen, eating area and lounge. Both toilets on 1st floor. 2nd floor bedrooms only. We found bed in main bedroom a tad uncomfortable, but loads of space.. Overall an enjoyable stay.”

    • “This cottage is in an ideal location , it’s lovely and warm , constant hot water, plenty of towels and kitchen well equipped, great for dogs , slight issues are the windows rattle and bang can keep you awake, the street can be noisy through the night and the beds/pillows are not as comfy as they could be .”

    Mrs Ward, Hull, November 2018

    • “The only problem that occurred was that the individual shower worked well once then would only go to extreme temperatures after that either very hot or very cold so we just used the main shower in the bath after that. However the cottage is very comfortable extremely well located, I could see how parking could be an issue but this is identified when booking so we were expecting to park on the road. The cottage had everything we required and plenty of room.”

    Mrs Palmieri, Hitchin, October 2018

    • “The cottage is in a perfect location so close to Keswick, really clean and spacious inside so lots of space for 8 of us.”

    Miss Pownall, Sale, September 2018

    • “The property in itself is v good. The fact that it does not have a downstairs toilet is a negative point considering that it can house 12 people. We only thought it was a big issue as one of our friends had a fall and fracture during this weekend .. getting upstairs was a big issue But the most importany thing I would like to highlight is that there definitely needs to be some kind of bigger parking space. Trying to park was a complete NIGHTMARE. Again i might have ended up there on a wrong weekend, it rained like there was no tomorrow. I still think this property should have a bigger private space allocated. The space behind the cottage can house only a small car. Lastly.. the shower over the bath is a trickle , guess it’s an electric shower The walk-in is great and powerful”

    • “The house on the whole was fine. The cleanliness really was a huge disappointment. The cupboards where the crockery was kept was dirty, a layer of dust was evident, almost like the house hadn't been used for a while. I had to wash the things we were using beforehand. If that wasn't enough to contend with, even worse, was the bedding. Virtually every bedsheet had stains of some sort on them, it was disgusting! I do have photos of the sheets. We put the heating on and slept on top of the beds. I have a very good reason for not complaining at the time, as this was booked on my behalf, and I didn't/couldn't evolve them with it for very personal reasons. If you could send me an email address I can send you the photos.”

    Mrs Varley, Manchester, September 2018

    • “This is by far the most disappointing property I have ever stayed in. From the entrance with the missing gate and the front door in need of a paint job everything went down hill from there. There was a terrible musty smell upon entering ~ especially when sitting at the dining room table. What could have been worse than that! The living room furniture was worn and dirty. The dining room chairs were very uncomfortable with old cushions that we didn't eve want to sit on. There was dog hair on one the upstairs beds and the sheets were soiled. The entire property is worn and very much in need of updating. The kitchen appears to have been recently updated so was the one positive room. The location was very good and that is the ONLY reason I would ever recommend this property. We were very excited to leave. I left a list of necessary repairs at the management office.”
