    • “Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting.”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “This ground floor apartment at the front of the house is one of six in a refurbished farmhouse, c1850, and set in one and a half acres of beautiful gardens with lovely views towards the mountains. To access it you have to go up a long drive, so it is a lovely quiet get away destination. Each apartment has its own parking bay and for this one it is right outside, so great for anyone who has mobility problems - the other bays are away from the house so do not cause any noise. The apartment itself is very warm and comfortable, beautifully decorated and extremely pleasant; with a very comfy bed and lovely bedding. The kitchen area is very well equipped with all the mod cons, including washing machine, dish washer and freezer - and guideline booklets for each appliance. Internet access was problematic, even though there was a router, and it was difficult to get a vodafone signal inside the apartment but EE worked ok for texts. It is a couple of miles from Keswick, so for those who are less mobile or energetic, the car is needed to get to all amenities. Keswick is a lovely town, with a lovely theatre and great cinema - we saw a TheatreLive production of Frankenstein whilst on holiday and all for £10. The Pencil Museum is well worth a visit, also, and houses some really interesting facts and information about the history of local pencil making and how they aided the war effort - fascinating!”

    • “A wonderful place to stay”

    • “Fieldside Grange is in a beautiful spot, with views over Derwentwater and to Cat Bells etc beyond, this was the view from our bedroom window. The Beeches is a well equipped flat and has everything you could possibly need. The weather was not good some of the time and the flat was always warm and cosy. If you want a peaceful place to stay this is it - well off the nearest road (bumpy track could do with evening out) Keswick has all the shops you need including a good supermarket (Boothes) walks can be from the door, or from short car rides (or bus) Many lakes are within easy distance of Keswick. Taking the boat from Keswick across to Brandle How gives a great walk through the woods to Portinscale which is a fifteen minute walk back in to Keswick.”

    • “This spacious one-bedroom ground floor apartment is beautifully furnished (especially the kitchen) and is just a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Keswick. The building is set in lovely grounds with baby rabbits running around and the view from the patio towards the fells is magnificent. There is ample parking with the allotted car space for the Beeches just outside the apartment - no need to get wet if it is raining! The kitchen is particularly well equipped with all you could need for your stay. A table and chairs on the patio enables you to sit, eat, drink, relax and enjoy the view.”

    • “A fabulous apartment in a stunning location.”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “The Beeches is a lovely, warm, well equipped and comfortable apartment in extensive gardens with fabulous views over the mountains, it is at the end of a long drive high up over Keswick which makes for peace and seclusion. The apartment is within reasonable walking distance to Keswick with all the facilities it has to offer, there are many walks to be made directly from the apartment so the car can stay put. Best thing was the quality and cleanliness of the apartment, the worst thing was the uphill walk on the way home after a long days trek!”

    • “A good service from the company. The apartment was upto date, stylish, clean and comfortable. The views from the patio were amazing.everything you needed in a kitchen was there. It was nice to have the private parking so we were not dissturbed by cars coming and going.A very very quiet and relaxing spot to unwind and relax in. The lane up to the house was a bit rough( glad i didnt have a low sports car)but gave us a laugh all the same. The nearest shop was a garage 2 mins by car and the centre 5 mins by car.A fantastic place to start walks from.We did several.Even in the rain.”

    • “We booked late and were really pleased to arrive and find the rooms were all nicely decorated, tidy and fairly spacious for a couple. It had all we needed within a property with character and with great views across to Cat Bells. It took a good half hour to walk into Keswick along the old railway line, and just 5 minutes or so in the car. But we were happy with the quiet location. I'd definitely go back.”

    • “I have to pre warn anyone booking, the sharp bend at the top of the drive is a bit tricky for some cars, specially when wet or even worse icy. At first impression's the apartment looked very nice, but it was slowly getting obvious it was in need of a little TLC. The toilet seat was about to fall of, lucky I had some tools in my car, and the door handle leading to the main entrance was also loose. I have no idea what happened to the sofa nearest to the bedrooms, as the legs were so loose and about to come off, we didn't use it. The most annoying thing was the lack of service to the property. You can not have a kitchen worktop in a corner with no lights. The tubes were not blown, they were completely missing and not replaced, The lovely clock on the wall was not worth a 50p battery to get it working. I would have replaced it, but didn't want to mess incase it broke. These are silly things that would have made a difference at a small cost. I have to say it was very clean and warm, and very convenient for the visits into town or the short walk to Castle Rigg stone Circle. which is a must for any visitor.”

    • “Good location and access. Good car parking outside. More local information, pubs, nice places to eat etc. would have been welcome.”

    Mrs Holman, London, September 2018

    • “The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. The view from the garden was great, and the location quiet and peaceful, but close to main roads. The drive up to the house was a bit rough, but well worth it. The Wi-fi worked fine, everything was good.”

    Mrs Bigg, Cambridge, June 2018

    • “Cleaning of the apartment was not as good as it should be. We pointed out some of the cleaning issues and they were dealt with promptly and efficiently. When we came to use the drying up cloths they had an unpleasant stale smell. The bedroom clock had no batteries which we also pointed out and was dealt with promptly. The bathroom extractor fan doesn't work. One of the kitchen surface lights has no tube in it. This is a nice apartment in an attractive location. We enjoyed our break. Attention to the minor details would make it even better.”
