    • “Fantastic!”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “Wow! We loved our stay here, convenient to get to, lovely owners who made us fell very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. Very private hot tub which was located just outside the bedroom door. The views out of the huge windows are just stunning, it makes it feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Great facilities and very clean throughout. We will be back again some time soon.”

    Nikybaker, Wrexham, July 2018

    • “Had an amazing time! The place definitely exceeded expectations.. the pictures don’t do this place justice.. perfect relaxing weekend will definitely be returning!”

Miss Taylor, SUTTON COLDFIELD, November 2018

    • “Extremely friendly hosts and extremely high standard of cottage.”

    Mr Drayton, Scunthorpe, November 2018

    • “The Heronry is extremely spacious and comfortable. The modern interior does nothing to diminish the splendour of this hidden gem of a cottage and although out of the way is easily accessible from the M6. I would definitely consider rebooking in the future. Probably the pick of all the cottages/lodges we have stayed in.”

    Mr Thorpe, Doncaster, September 2018

    • “The hot tub area could of been cleaner and freshened up. A couple of floor tiles in the living area were broken bringing down the overall experience down and the mattress on the bed was very soft so found it difficult to sleep.”

    Mr Barker, Oldham, August 2018

    • “Good introduction to lakes cottage holidays. Friendly owners. Small additional recommendation would be extra towels for hot tub but lovely break in nice luxury place .”

    Mr Walker, Dundee, July 2018

    • “The Heronry has everything for your holiday, it is well equipped and to a high standard, the rooms are spacious and uncluttered. The friendly owners are on hand if needed. A great location in peaceful surroundings, would not hesitate to stay there again.”

    Mr Styles, Norwich, June 2018

    • “The Heronry was a very enjoyable place to stay in very peaceful surroundings a nice place to relax and enjoy country walks would recommend staying at this place the owners Trevor &Danielle are extremely nice people and couldn't have been more helpful to us during our stay”

    Mr Lewis, Sheerness, February 2018

    • “This is a review of two halves; Sykes were absolutely awful from start to finish - whereas the hosts of the Heronry, Danielle”

Mr M Carroll, Liverpool, October 2018

    • “The cottage was lovely and the owner really nice, helpful and friendly. The problem was your (Skyes) advertising is incorrect we booked this cottage as we liked the idea of the double Jacuzzi bath the so called WOW factor as featured and described on your site. This is no longer there in it's place is a bath no Jacuzzi. We paid more than we would normally for this reason. There is a hot-tub outside which the owner kindly offered to us free, however we had not booked this originally we had no suitable swimwear with us. Breakfast bar (car front) not there now, this was not an issue but again false advertising. The owner told us they had informed Skyes of the changes but looks like Skyes has failed to update the site and is wrongly advertising what is not there. When we booked this place and it was the WOW factor bathroom that was the attraction. My suggestion would be to avoid further negative feedback you update to avoid other people being disappointed and loss of business for the Owners. We have found a place we want to book with skyes for September but are uneasy as the property mentions hot-tub and sauna but we are reluctant to book as we maybe disappointed again due to possible inaccurate information on site.”

    Ms Miller, Stocksfield, December 2017
