    “Completely amazing”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Heronry on the first weekend after lockdown eased and it was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived, Trevor and Danielle were welcoming and friendly and explained all the updated measures that had been taken in light of covid. The place was immaculately clean. It is decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard, the bed is soo comfortable that we didn’t want to get out of it and we spent a good few hours in the hot tub enjoying the view! There was a welcome prosecco on arrival which was swiftly demolished and some lovely brownies too. The bathroom is just breathtaking and the kitchen has everything you need. Trevor and Danielle were always on hand to answer any questions. We visited Keswick, Gretna Green and the local pub (Graham Arms) for a drink, which were all driving distance. We had the best time there, we came away so relaxed and refreshed and we are desperate to go back - however unsurprisingly it is booked up until next year! Thank you again for a wonderful stay, we would both highly recommend visiting the Heronry.
