Through out the cottage is immaculate and really well decorated loved all the little personal touches throughout Decent sized bedrooms In the Kitchen we loved the Aga and cooked our toast on their every morning cooked very fast !! The property is well located for exploring the lakes within 30 minutes from Windermere which we ate at every night ,other lakes of similar distance all within easy reach . Will definitely use again Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay you have a lovely property

Though perhaps a few tea bags and a small starter milk and a bit of sugar would have been more useful like they do in some places . It was good of you to sort out the bath that wasn’t draining . Very sweet property but a few inexpensive extras to start off would have been good like washing tablets in the laundry room fairly liquid and a note telling us where the laundry room is. . Loved the aga and the cosiness of the cottage and it was very clean.

“In general fairly faultless and really enjoyed the cottage.”

Minor criticism would suggest more crockery otherwise the dishwasher isn't being used efficiently. The lounge area sofa's not best placed for Watching TV although there is a nice dresser it doesn't work for the benefit of a holiday let (very minor issue I might add).

“We’ve had a wonderful break in this beautiful cottage full of character.”

I could quite happily move in! Beautifully decorated with lots of quirky features. Plenty of books for grown-ups and children to read. The kitchen is so cosy, love the Aga…we also have one at home so felt very comfortable with it and would definitely recommend everyone to use that (rather than the electric oven which is also provided). Plenty of beautiful villages to visit nearby and play park just up the road for the children. Can’t wait to come and stay again!

“We had a lovely stay at the cottage with our two boys aged 2&5.”

It's a really lovely property, well equipped and just like it seems from the listing. The Aga is a real treat, and we enjoyed using the woodburning stove. I've only marked it down one because when one of our kids was ill we had to be at home all day and you can't override the heating to come on so it cost us a lot in firewood to stay warm (it was a chilly February!). I would highly recommend the cottage.

“Lovely warm and homely property in a great location.”

Great base as we explored all over the Lakes. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, kids loved the books, toys and nearby playpark. Loved the AGA for warmth and cooking. Off street parking was a bonus given narrow streets. Our only negatives were that electric oven was overdue a deep clean and we didn't find the mattress in the main bedroom to be very comfortable.

“What a lovely home.”

The owner has made the cottage feel so lovely and homely with how they have decorated the house. Little touches like the dog shaped door mat and one of the signs saying about dog kisses made me feel really comfortable having our dog stay with us too. The kitchen and bathroom are recently done and to a good standard. Everything we needed was there and more. Just a brilliant house to stay in.

“This is a clean, comfortable family home that is equipped to a high standard.”

The house is in a quiet village with a lovely pub that does excellent food. Cartmel and Grange are a 30 minute walk away and the Lake District is easily accessible. We had a lovely holiday here and would happily return.

The Aga is fantastic, providing a warm welcome after a long wet walk. Having access to a washer and tumble dryer was very useful. The log burner made things very cozy and and log supply was very generous.

At the end of each fun-filled day, move up to the first floor to discover the three sleeping spots, made up of a king-size bedroom with its own television, a twin bedroom doubling up as a super-king-size on request and a superb single bedroom, you can find a snug spot for each member of the family, with plenty of space to house all your belongings too.
