“We had a lovely holiday at Rock Cottage would recommend to anyone who wants a nice quiet break .”

The wardrobe door in the bedroom was a bit of an issue as struggled to open it properly! (DIY needed) Every window had a view of the mountains !!

The property

Resting in the village of Grange in the Borrowdale Valley close to the gracious waters of Derwentwater, is this inviting, semi detached stone bungalow.

Enjoying a tranquil location with views of the surrounding hills, Rock Cottage makes for a wonderful base for families looking to get a taste of this beautiful area.

Relax and unwind in the cosy sitting room, using this as a time to catch up on your favourite shows whilst the alluring wood burner keeps you toasty.

Allow the chef amongst the group to rustle up a delightful feast, which can be enjoyed at the dining table over a well-deserved glass of wine.

Wake up to a stunning view from either of the bedrooms, which are comprised in a double and twin layout and served by a modern shower room.

To the outside is a large lawned garden where you can sit back and admire the tranquil scenery while the children run freely on the grass.

Ramblers will be delighted to hear that Scafell Pike is within close reach of the cottage, along with plenty of footpaths and rambling routes, enabling guests to encompass the full Lake District experience.

4 miles away is the bustling market town of Keswick, home to a selection of quality eateries and independent shops to grab any essentials.

There are also several attractions worth checking out, including the charming Keswick Museum and optical illusion exhibition, Puzzling Place.

Rock Cottage promises a relaxing retreat, all-year-round.
