    “Great location.”

We had a lovely 7 night stay at brinkburn. Location was great, house was clean, comfy beds and a lot of space, very well equipped kitchen, the description does not say but the TV is a smart TV too, which is an added bonus for an evening in after a day of walks. It would have been even better if a couple of logs were provided for the log burner for when you arrive as well as a couple of dishwater tablets, you are unable to get into the property until 5pm which is quite late, would have been nice to have these but not a big issue. It does not have its own parking space which is fine for just 2 with a small car as you are likely to get a space on the road outside, however if it was a multi car trip you may have struggled as the road was always packed. The property is at the top of the hill in bowness on Windermere and was only a 10 minute walk to the front which was great, we could go out for meals in bowness with no need to drive. If it was just a one car holiday we would definitely book here again! Thank you.

It lies in a charming house that dates back many years and touches of this history can be found throughout the property.

Throughout the home the colours are attractive, welcoming and very much in the modern-contemporary style but in keeping with the classic, period cottage style.

The three well-presented bedrooms have a range of modern furnishings, which complement the light decor, and offer an abundance of space to store your personal items, whilst the family bathroom provides and elegant bath so you can have a relaxing soak at the end of a tiring day.

In the summer, the small patio area to the front simply shows off the astounding town scenery.

Take a drive towards the thriving town of Ambleside, which houses the wonderful period property of Dove Cottage and The Wordsworth Museum.

The perfect choice for those literary lovers among you, discover a plethora of history inside, including how the famous poet once lived and where he drew his inspiration from.

You are within walking distance of Lake Windermere for getting involved with a variety of watersporting activities, whilst the further afield Coniston Water is popular for kayaking and canoeing.
