The property

Situated on the outskirts of the vibrant town of Windermere, found nestled within the grand Priory Manor Estate is this single storey holiday accommodation, Lowera Cottage.

This quaint cottage enjoys an elevated position overlooking the lake and is perfect for a couple seeking some quality time together or for a small family in pursuit of an action-packed break to the Lake District.

Admire the surroundings of the cottage, with breath-taking views of Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in the Lake District before you enter into the spacious open-plan living room of Lowera Cottage.

This space contains everything you could possibly need during a self-catered stay with loved ones, as well as a charming welcome pack, filled with locally sourced treats and locally handmade toiletries.

Look forward to packing up a picnic or rustling up a delicious evening meal within the contemporary kitchen, where a range of quality appliances await the budding chef of the group.

Settle down for dinner at the dining table for some much-needed catch up time with your loved ones before you pop open the bottle of prosecco and toast to a wonderful break.

Completing the space is the plush leather sofa, where you can look forward relaxing and tuning into the Smart TV after an action-packed day exploring the countryside setting.

Afterwards, look forward to catching your rest within the master bedroom, which contains a plush double bed and white linens to snuggle under, whilst the single bedroom enjoys plenty of space and contemporary storage.

To the exterior, table and chairs offer an alternative dining arrangement, perfect for enjoying a spot of lunch, as you soak up the stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

If you do not feel like cooking one evening, venture into the centre of Windermere, where you will find a superb selection of pubs, fine dining restaurants and takeaways, as well as a number of shops for anything you require.

Be sure to climb on board one of the Lake Districts historic steamers to enjoy a unique voyage as you admire the mountain scenery, secluded bays and the many wooded islands, or head to Bowness Bay where you can hire your own boat to explore the lake at your own pace.

Those with children will be delighted by the nearby World of Beatrix Potter attraction and the Treetop Lake District, where thrill-seekers can enjoy treetop treks.

Other local attractions will suit the whole family, including the National Trust property of Wray Castle, the 70ft cascading waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force and Ambleside Roman Fort, for an insight into the area’s past.

Travel slightly further afield to the National Trust property of Hill Top, which is the former home of Beatrix Potter, or meet the otters and stingrays at the Lakes Aquarium.

Keen walkers can look forward to exploring the peak of Claife Heights and the famous Old Man of Coniston, with picturesque lake views and industrial remnants, as well as a plethora of other walking routes within the area.
