Be sure to climb on board one of the Lake Districts historic steamers to enjoy a unique voyage as you admire the mountain scenery, secluded bays and the many wooded islands, or head to Bowness Bay where you can hire your own boat to explore the lake at your own pace. Travel slightly further afield to the National Trust property of Hill Top, which is the former home of Beatrix Potter, or meet the otters and stingrays at the Lakes Aquarium.
