Paul “The good points are: Close location to Bowness-On-Windermere Modern Decor and living space Large Living Space Plenty of TV's Bathrooms spacious Clean The bad points are: No Freezer No Dishwasher No Washing Machine Both Double Beds are so hard and uncomfortable Pillows and Duffets are cheap No Hair Dryer No Umbrellas Steep staircases No Dressing Tables in bedroom Decor, Bulbs meaning bedrooms are quite dark.”
Odd layout, you go upstairs to go back downstairs to bedroom?? The simple things could easily be improved to make the accomodation more user friendly such as adding Umbrellas and a Hair Dryer. Having no Freezer is an issue especially when stopping a week in summer (Ice/Ice Creams, etc.) as is a Dishwasher and Washing Machine. The accomodation sleeps six so these are basic ameneties.
- Paul, December 2021Sarah “Nicest holiday property we’ve stayed in !”
- Sarah, November 2021Gavin “A beautiful property.”
Immaculately decorated throughout. Highly recommend. Could do with a small freezer and a dish washer. Great location. So close to shops and restaurants. Details should say there is one parking space at property as well as 1 parking permit. I asked for another permit as this was not clear.
- Gavin, October 2021Mark “Lovely home, great location close to Bowness.”
- Mark, September 2021Souvik “Pictures of the place do not do it justice.”
Perfect spot for entire family getaway. The house was great and location excellent. The one thing I would say I missed was a dishwasher but other than that no complaints
- Souvik, August 2021Jo “Beautiful accommodation and super convenient for Bowness - parking permit a real bonus.”
Only things lacking are washing machine and dishwasher, which for an active family of six are important. Nonetheless - a brilliant holiday and would recommend Sykes cottages Jo
- Jo, July 2021Chris “Quarry house was better than we expected.”
Photos do not do the place justice. Very clean and well presented. All very modern and plenty of space for 4 adults. Could do with some mirrors around the place and the odd coat hook but other than faultless. One of the best weeks we've had in the Lakes in 25 years.
- Chris, July 2021Andrew “Very strange layout of this property, you go upstairs to go downstairs to a bedroom.”
No bedroom had a dressing table and we ended up putting our toiletries on the bed in another bedroom. How six people would manage I don’t know, especially without having a dishwasher.
- Andrew, June 2021Brian “Fantastic lodge within walking distance of Bowness.”
Very clean and modern.
- Brian, June 2021David “Just returned from several days in the Lake District.”
Our accommodation was exceptional & extremely well presented. We were within walking distance of bars, restaurants & visitor attractions. Arrangements were clear & easy to understand. Parking permit was a good gesture (you don't often get free parking). Looking forward to returning & recommending to our friends & family.
