A stunning terraced cottage, Snowdrop Cottage is located in Bowness-on-Windermere, a short walk from the town's shops and restaurants and the lake. The location is ideal for those who want to park their car and walk to all that Bowness and Windermere have to offer. Snowdrop Cottage, nestled in the heart of the Lake District National Park, is an ideal location for a family holiday with Windermere and Ambleside just a short drive away. The living/dining room has a large bay window that lets in plenty of light, as well as a large dining table situated next to the woodburning stove, making it a lovely place to eat dinner with your family and friends in the evening. Take a seat on the couch after dinner and light the gas fire while you unwind and watch television. It doesn't matter if you're cooking up a storm or preparing a picnic; the kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine to help you with your self-catering needs. As you make your way up the stairs, you'll find a charming king-size bedroom with a fireplace and white furnishings. The twin bedroom has a wonderful feature fireplace and plenty of space for unpacking your personal belongings. The bathroom has a bathtub, shower and a ring-light mirror for added ambiance. You'll find a well-appointed dressing room near the bathroom on the first floor, where you can get ready for the day in style or unwind with a book in peace. A small front garden with a bench where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee, as well as an enclosed back patio with table and chairs, creating a sun-trapped area where you can delight in a spot of alfresco dining. Local attractions like the World of Beatrix Potter Museum and the Old Laundry Theatre are located in the town of Bowness-on-Windermere, and there are numerous pubs, bars, restaurants, as well as a variety of shops and eateries in the area. You can take a boat ride, rent a boat, or take a trip up to Ambleside from Bowness Bay or Lake Windermere, all of which offer stunning views of the surrounding national park. Windermere is only a short walk away and is a popular tourist destination thanks to its wide range of amenities, family-friendly jetty museum, and picturesque Orrest Head viewpoint, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to pen his renowned guidebooks to the Lake District and the nearby fells. Water sports and mountain biking are available for the more adventurous, as are the well-known Go Ape Tree Top Adventure Park and Brokehole Treetop Trek.
