The property

Greenbeck Cottage is a terraced cottage located in Coniston, Cumbria. The lounge has been wonderfully decorated with a lovely light red hue to coincide with the light carpet and sofas. A welcoming room with a TV and DVD player, as well as an open fire. There is an open-plan kitchen and dining area with seating for up to four people. The kitchen has been fitted with all the appliances you could possibly need and is ideal for a lovely home-cooked meal. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. The bedrooms are in-keeping with the colour scheme downstairs with its red bed linen and wooden furniture. There is a modern family bathroom with a bath and shower over. Off-road parking is available for one car. Outside, there is a decking and stone area with a picnic bench and surrounding trees. Coniston is close to a variety of attractions, including Tarn Hows with its beautiful countryside and majestic mountain views. It is a great place to walk and picnic with a mobility scooter available for those who are less able to get around. A short drive away is Crags Adventures, an outdoor activity company which features walking, canyoning and guided rock climbing. It is a fun trip for the whole family, but only available to from age nine and upwards. It is often popular with couples, groups of friends, families and stag or hen parties. Greenbeck Cottage is the ultimate location for friends and families to relax and unwind.

Nestling at the head of Coniston Water, the pretty village of Coniston is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park, making it a superb base for touring, with Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere and Grasmere just a short drive away. Superb walking, mountain biking and climbing are available locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, and the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. For watersports enthusiasts, the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola’, or visit Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin. Nearby attractions include the award-winning village of Hawkshead, home of the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Tarn Hows, one of the most visited beauty spots in the country and Esthwaite Water, famous for its fishing.
