“Holiday was fantastic and I have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage, the cottage had literally everything you need for a week away including a football for the kids.”
Couldn’t ask for more and given the current pandemic everything was so spotlessly clean, no faults to pick at all. Parking perfect and neighbours all so friendly.

“We had a wonderful stay at Plumblands!”
The cottage is beautifully decorated (we also really appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations) and well equipped, and is also in a fantastic location with views of the fells and the convenience of a well stocked shop, lovely cafe and fabulous pub within easy walking distance. The beds were really comfortable and we slept well after some lovely fell and low level walks direct from the door. We definitely plan to return.- Mrs Calveley, December 2019
“Lovely location and wonderful views to the rear of the accommodation with great walks to keep you entertained during the day and Cosy nights in front of the TV with the log burner going.”
What more could you ask for. Wi-fi was good too for holiday accommodation.- Mr Rogers, October 2019
“Annoyed about damp patches in kitchen- smell in the big cupboard in kitchen, - rising damp?”
, leaks in first floor bedroom- not suitable for us with an infant. The outside area looked as though it hadn’t been touched for months- had to make an attempt to clear brambles before we could sit out .- Mrs Lees, August 2019
“Great location just a short stroll to shop (with cafe) & nearest pub & local walks from front door.”
Plenty of space for all. Very comfy beds- Mrs Collier, June 2019
“All was great thank you.”
There was a leak in the downstairs kitchen by the stairs. We mopped it up but looked like it had happened before. We weren't sure where the water came from. It wasn't a problem I just thought I should report it. The location of the cottage was perfect. I would say that it was expensive for the week but I think that's the going rate... It's our first time in school holidays! Thanks for a fantastic week overall.- Mrs Atkinson, April 2019
“Lovely cottage with nice furniture - we had a fabulous week”- Mr Galbraith, October 2018
“A beautiful cottage, imaculately presented in a stunning location.”
We've already booked a return visit for next year!- Mrs Atkinson, April 2018
