As you would expect from such a location there are ample walking and cycling opportunities for the door in and around Longsleddale (also known as Greendale to Postman Pat).

Mill Cottage, in its historic setting, is the retreat that everyone dreams of, with an abundance of oak beams, flagstone floors, AGA, together with an open fire all help to make this a cosy cottage suitable for a break at any time of year.

NEAR KENDAL Kendal 4 miles, Windermere 9 miles, Penrith 24 miles The Garnett Bridge is located 4 miles north of the nearby market town of Kendal, 2 miles from Burneside and at the foot of Longsleddale Valley. The hamlet is situated at the edge of the National Park with walkiung from the door onto the fells such as Potter Fell and Kentmere Pike. The area is also excellent for cycling being located on several popular roads and mountian biking routes.
