The property

1 Lingfell is a charming Georgian townhouse set in the quiet seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands and boasting far-reaching views across Morecambe Bay.

Set over two floors, the property has been beautifully decorated, expressing style and elegance throughout.

The spacious sitting room features high ceilings and a fireplace, along with a large bay window that offers commanding views.

Joined by interconnecting doors, the dining room boasts a fine dining table in which you gather around during mealtimes and a well-equipped kitchen off to the side.

There are four bedrooms here including two king-size doubles both with en-suite facilities and one with a Jacuzzi bath - perfect for unwinding at the end of your day.

The final two bedrooms are the twin and the family room, completed with two singles and a double sofa bed.

With uninterrupted views over the estuary from the ground floor, this cottage offers a welcome alternative to the usual Lake District Cottages, ideal to sit back and absorb the tranquil atmosphere.

The surrounding area has lots to offer, with an excellent range of restaurants and pubs in the town, as well as great fishing and walking opportunities with the limestone hills close by.

Lake District can be reached in a short drive, offering only the top attractions that you would expect from the UK’s most popular National Park.

Alternatively, the Yorkshire Dales is also within driving distance, giving you the choice of both regions.

The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house. Set amidst the southern lakes, the attractive town of Grange-over-Sands makes a superb base from which to enjoy the whole of this magical area.
