    “Really big a spacious.”

Had a great hol for husbands 60th with family x 10. Very comfortable home from home. Location excellent just round corner to the beech and Grange over sands worth a visit with other attractions near by. Only set back tumble dryer was rubbish.

The property

Set over two floors, this spacious accommodation can be found above a convenience store in the centre of Grange-over-Sands, a charming Edwardian town between the Lake District and Morecambe Bay.

Boasting excellent styling and furnishings throughout, this cottage is the perfect base for families and friends who wish to spend time together in this special part of the UK.

The spacious living room exudes comfort with a plush sofa and wood burning stove, topped off with a Blu-ray player and flatscreen TV.

The ample kitchen is finished with a wood flooring and integrated appliances to ease you into your stay, and the addition of the elegant dining table compliments the setup well.

The first floor plays host to a double bedroom with Freesat TV and a single bedroom, together with a sparkling family bathroom.

The latter of which boasts a Jacuzzi bath, giving you something to look forward to at the end of your day.

The second floor occupies the final three bedrooms, including the master with en-suite facilities.

Outside this Grange-over-Sands accommodation is a enclosed patio area with furniture, along with a secure bike lock up.

The village offers several fine pubs and restaurants making it ideal if you fancy eating out, as well as a few bakeries and butchers to try.

There is a large promenade providing walks along the bay, a perfect place to enjoy the setting of the sun on warm evening.

The attractions of the Lake District aren’t far, with Lake Windermere only being 8 miles away; it’s ideal for a day out.

About the location

Cartmel 2 miles; Lake Windermere 8 miles; Kendal 10 miles.

The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house. There is also the 25 mile Cistercian Way which starts at Grange over Sands. Set amidst the southern lakes, the attractive town of Grange-over-Sands makes a superb base from which to enjoy the whole of this magical area.
