The property

Towards the village of Brampton, discover High Rigg Woodland Cottage, a cosy place to stay with enchanting features, beautiful decor, and a home from home feel, reflected through every room.

Stepping into the beautiful living area, be welcomed by a comfortable lounge, modern kitchen, and a dining area, all tied together with exceptional detail, and a woodburning stove for added warmth.

Low lighting follows the layout round, and extras include a coffee machine, and DVD player to compliment your relaxing nights in.

Whether you are gathering at the dining table with your loved ones or snuggling up on the sofas, you will be drawn to this room all day long.

There are two luxurious king-sized bedrooms, each neighboured by their own en-suite with the first also boasting a freestanding bath for an effective finish.

Charmingly put together, the luxury feel leads the way, somewhere peaceful to return to after a busy day of sightseeing and so much more.

When you are not relaxing indoors, enjoy the hot tub and outside area, equally as promising for a refreshing end to the afternoon.

A short distance outside Brampton is Talkin Tarn Country Park, covering 120 acres of farmland and woodland, 65 of which make up the Tarn, a 10,000-year-old glacial lake, fed by underwater springs.

Two miles away is Gelt Woods, which is an ancient woodland and RSPB nature reserve and has the River Gelt running through it.

A one-of-a-kind cottage to build some memories.

The market town of Brampton is the ideal base for exploring Hadrian’s Wall. The town boasts a rich and colourful history going back to the Roman occupation, Border reivers from Scotland and the Jacobite uprisings, plus bonnie Prince Charlie established his headquarters in one of the old buildings in Brampton. In the centre of the town is Moot Hall, which was built in 1817, and now houses the Tourist Information Centre, and there is a large motte to the east of the town, which is 135 feet high and has the statue of the 7th Earl of Carlisle on it. A few miles outside Brampton is Talkin Tarn Country Park. It covers 120 acres of farmland and woodland, 65 of which make up the Tarn, a 10,000 year old glacial lake, fed by underwater springs. Two miles away is Gelt Woods, which is an ancient woodland and RSPB nature reserve and has the River Gelt running through it.
