The Property

Combine this with the pleasing interior of the cottage and you have the perfect base for a family or group of friends looking to explore the wonders of the Lake District National Park. Upon entering the property, you will find yourself in a hall area with plenty of space for storing any jackets and coats. On your right is a door leading to a sitting room and dining area, a bright and airy space lit by the large bay window at the front of the property. At the other end of the room is the dining area, a sociable space with views over the back garden. To the rear of the property is a split-level kitchen, with a small seating level at ground level and the cabinets and appliances a few steps below. The kitchen is a contemporary affair but fits perfectly with the period features of the cottage. Down a further flight of stairs is a handy WC and basin, as well as a utility room with washing machine and space to dry clothing. Upstairs are three appealing bedrooms; two with double beds and a further single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with a double-ended bath, perfect for soaking in after a hard day's fell walking. The garden can be accessed through a side door in the kitchen. This leads to an enclosed yard area, with a gate that subsequently leads to a further unenclosed patio area through a communal access route. The pretty patio area is furnished and features a number of pleasant plants and greenery, offering a lovely spot for relaxing together in the afternoon sun. The towns of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere are only a short walk away, both of which offering a number of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, as well as various other amenities.
