“Two acres is a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings.”

The cottage itself is very comfortable and we found it very clean and well maintained. It is in easy travelling distance to a lot of places. We enjoyed our visit to Leighton Moss RSPB, about 20 mins away, also Levens Hall is literally up the road with lovely gardens.

The property

This delightful semi-detached home is located in the centre of Levens, Cumbria, and is attached to the owner's property.

Two Acres is located at the Lakes' Gateway, with quick access to popular Lakeland destinations such as Windermere, Bowness, and Ambleside, all of which are just a short drive away.

The wonderful home is nestled in a secluded position with views of lush green country fields, making it ideal for a peaceful family holiday to the Lake District.

Inside, unwind in the spacious living area, which features a luxurious corner sofa where you can lie back and scroll through the Smart TV while the woodburning stove gently warms the space; there's also a patio door leading out to the lovely garden and patio, where you can relax with a chilled glass of wine on a beautiful summer day.

A charming dining area is located in the living area, which is ideal for sitting down with your loved ones during mealtimes.

Prepare a delectable home-cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen, which includes a dishwasher, electric oven, and hob.

The master bedroom features a huge king-size bed, as well as a sumptuous chair, vanity mirror, and a contemporary en-suite shower room with a large walk-in shower.

Alternatively, there's a lovely twin room that can be converted to a super king-size bed if necessary, making it suitable for a range of groups.

Soak in a well-deserved bubble bath in the family bathroom, where you'll be greeted by a warm towel from the heated rail, or use the extra-large walk-in shower, which has enough of space for your daily scrubbing.

A convenience shop in Levens's town centre is a short drive away, as is a nice pub called the Strickland Arms, where you can refuel with a pint and lunch after a long walk.

Levens is a small traditional Cumbrian village set on a high promontory in beautiful countryside and ideally placed for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The village has a lovely old church, general store/newsagent and a pub. With excellent views of the southern fells across the Lyth Valley and the River Kent which flows below the village, Levens consists of a huddle of fine, stone-built traditional houses, cottages and barn conversions surrounded by unspoilt countryside, with varied flora and fauna and a nature reserve providing beautiful walking country. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall, with its superb topiary garden, are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay.
