    “Overall Pheasant cottage is a very nice place to stay.”

    In the description it says good for elderly or disabled persons as all on one level but there are steps and the lighting is not very good to say the least, especially in the kitchen and dinning area. There is insufficient work top/preparation area in the kitchen and the cooking pots and pans leaves plenty to be desired. The main problem we had is that the beds are shockingly hard as they are either very thin mattresses or just mattress toppers on top of a solid plywood base, this is not ...

There is insufficient work top/preparation area in the kitchen and the cooking pots and pans leaves plenty to be desired. The main problem we had is that the beds are shockingly hard as they are either very thin mattresses or just mattress toppers on top of a solid plywood base, this is not acceptable for old or young and that would be the main reason that we would not go back. The location and the build itself are good and I am sure it is beautiful in summer but if you sat outside you would be starring at 3 or 4 works transit vans, not the best outlook. When we look to book a larger property we usually go away with anywhere between 10 and 18 of the family so the cooking facilities and the number of showers are important. Ordinarily I am not one to write feedbacks as we all have different tastes and requirements and my good could be another persons poor but the state of the beds has prompted me to put pen to paper on this occasion.

Being mostly on the ground floor this spacious family accommodation is ideal for the guests holidaying with elderly relatives or for those who have difficulties with stairs.

The barn conversion is in an area of peace and tranquility within easy reach of Lake Ullswater, Penrith and Carlisle. Located 2 miles north east of Penrith, Edenhall is a tranquil rural setting in the heart of the Eden Valley.

Visiting badgers and squirrels will delight visitors along with other wildlife taking advantage of the spacious grounds.

Penrith, known locally as the gateway to the lakes, has numerous boutique shops, pubs, restaurants, cinema and leisure pool and is worth spending a day in.

The valley is popular with cyclists due to the quiet country road and Coast to Coast cycle route. Edenhall, formerly a working farm now provides three cottages converted from the barn and the farmhouse, ideal for families looking for a base from which to explore the northern lakes and Eden Valley the properties all have views across the valley and shared use of the children&

39;s play area. This barn conversion offers spacious family accommodation in the grounds of Edenhall.
