The property

This quaint, semi-detached cottage is situated on a traditional hill farm in the little hamlet of Stonethwaite, close to Rosthwaite, in the popular Lake District National Park.

Attached to the owners home, the cottage boasts picturesque views of the fells, providing for a special outdoor holiday, perfect for a large family or group of friends.

The ground floor consists of the fitted kitchen and separate dining room, along with the cosy sitting room that boasts an open fire, perfect for when you return from your days outings.

This Stonethwaite Cottage hosts 4 bedrooms including a double bedroom with en suite facilities.

Additionally, there is a further double, twin and single bedroom which are served by the family bathroom.

To the rear of the property there is a patio area where you can sit and relax amongst the peaceful surroundings, while at the front you can watch the farmer busy at work.

There is an superb country inn just around the corner serving an authentic pub menu, and a little further afield in the village of Rosthwaite you can expect a shop, tea room and pub.

Ramblers will be delighted to hear that Scafell Pike is within close reach of the cottage, along with plenty of footpaths such as the Cumbrian Way, enabling guests to encompass the full Lake District experience.

Keswick is roughly 6.5 miles away and is home to a handful of attractions, including miniature golf courses and the Pencil Museum.

This cosy base is perfect for a family holiday to the Lakes, all year round.

The pretty village of Rosthwaite is situated in the Borrowdale area of the stunning Lake District National Park. The village, surrounded by fells and meadows offers a pub, shop and tea room. You’ll be delighted with the location - just driving up the Borrowdale Valley past Lake Derwentwater is sure to please, and once you arrive in Rosthwaite you will be charmed by the traditional Lakeland cottages. Within driving distance is the town of Keswick, which boasts a number of shops and restaurants, along with miniature golf, parks, the Pencil Museum and the famous Theatre by the Lake. With Derwent Water and Honister Pass close by, the village is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists, and is in a superb location to discover all of the Lake District.
