    • “Fab accommodation for 14. All on the level for our mixed age party 25-86! Home from home kitchen. Only issue was intermittent wi-fi. Out-with owners control!”

    • “Amazing week to celebrate a big birthday!”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “We stayed here in January for a celebrations with family and friends. The whole week was perfect. We had lovely walk along to Coniston and popped in at the The Bluebird Café on the waters edge. Also a short walk to Torver and if you go you must check out the telephone box. We also went on short walks to Tarn Howe and Rydal water and cave. The hot tub was super. Although it was January, on a clear night with the dark skies, the stars were amazing. The accommodation was clean and fitted the needs of 8 – 73 year olds. We never felt overlooked at all. Would certainly go back. Thank you !”

    • “Great family location with stunning views”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “We have just returned from a week at this house. Four generations of the family attended making a party of 11. The house was perfect providing great space for family social time, but also providing privacy and quietness through well equipped en-suite bedrooms for those times when you wanted to have a little time relaxing on your own. The owners live next door and have achieved the perfect balance of being there if you need them but not intruding on your stay. The views from the windows are stunning and you are perfectly placed to explore the southern lakes.”

    • “The house was lovely, spacious and well equipped, could do with a few more t-towels however that is all. Very pleased to see a recycling system in the kitchen.”

Mrs Thomas, Hayling Island, September 2018

    • “This property was a really good base for the meeting of the clan and the children. Exactly as described in the brochure. It was comfortable and had everything that we needed.”

    Mr Creed, Stevenage, August 2018

    • “Helen and Allan have created a wonderful holiday home from the original two bedroom bungalow to today's 14 person retreat. The furnishings and appointments were uniformly of a very high standard and clearly maintenance and best quality appointments were important to the hosts. We found the location ideal for our family gathering and the views from picture windows were enchanting especially when the local shepherd was working his sheep with three dogs simultaneously. It gave us a wonderful Lake District holiday -and the hot tub played its part, too!”

    Mr Robinson, Southport, July 2018

    • “Perfect peaceful location, beautiful property plenty of space and every facility we needed. Wonderful views, lovely outdoor seating area and hot tub overlooking coniston lake. This property was fantastic for our reunion and would defiantly recommend it to others.”

    Mrs Royce, Oswestry, June 2018

    • “House was perfect - met all of our needs in terms of space, comfort and location. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and decking area for breakfasts in the sun!”

    Mrs Kay, Carlisle, May 2018

    • “The owner was very friendly and helpful.Lovely walk for evening meals at the Wilsons Arms nearby at Torver”

Mrs Mclean, MILTON KEYNES, April 2018

    • “This is a fantastic house and the owners are lovely, If there was anything we wanted that was not provided we only had to ask. The house has a lovely warm welcoming feel to it which makes you feel at home straight away. All the rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well kitted out with everything you need for whatever you want to cook, even cake tins if you feel in the mood for baking. Both the dining room and the lounge have views to die for and the seating in both very comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus and the decked patio area looked out over Coniston water. There were 10 of us staying + 2 dogs for 2 weeks and at no time did it feel crowded. We all had a fantastic holiday and could have stayed for ever. There is an excellent pub approx 1/2 mile walk down a footpath (ex railwayline) which does excellent food and allows dogs in the bar and also another on the way to Coniston, Probably about a mile away. The Fish and Chip shop in the village is excellent and so is Sara's Indian Restaurant and take away. There are 3 small supermarkets, the co op, a Premier shop and the spar at the garage, also an excellent bakers, so you can shop local if you do not want to spend your time travelling to Kendal for the major supermarkets. We would highly recommend this house and we intend to go back in the not to distant future.”

    Mrs West, Leicester, July 2017
