“Wow - what an absolutely stunning House - the photos really don't do it justice !”

    !!! ...

!!! We rented the House for a BIG girly weekend to celebrate my 50th Birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. We spent the full weekend at the House and it was fabulously equipped to fully cater for the Group throughout the weekend - cooked breakfasts, Afternoon Tea (cake stands and Tea Set are fab), full Roast Dinner with a plentiful supply of pans, dishware, other crockery & the all important Wine glasses, and fabulous Gin glasses for our Gin Bar :) The Wine Fridge is extremely useful as well as the extra fridge in the Utility room. The 2 Dishwashers meant we easily kept on top of the clearing up with very little effort. The Leisure facility is of a Luxury Hotel Standard, the Pool is amazing, and most of the weekend was spent there relaxing and chatting - there's a fab selection of Pool toys, and a stack of plastic glasses to enjoy a drink on the loungers, with views across the countryside :) The large lunge comfortable accomodates the group and the snug lounge is cute for a cosier conversation :) The Dining Room made a fab Bingo Hall, and is a lovely area for a relaxed meal and after dinner conversation. The decor is fabulous throughout, and the Beds really comfy, even the 'occasional ones'. The Sound System lets you connect from your phone and play Music throughout the House, including the Pool. It's obvious a lot of thought and effort has been put into the facilities for the House, and it totally works - it ticked all of our boxes and more :) We will definitely be back, just hope we don't have to wait until my 60th Birthday :)

About the location

Kendal 12 miles; Hawes 15 miles.

Sedbergh (pronounced Sed-Ber), set at the foot of the dramatic and wild Howgill Fells, is an ancient market town in northern Dentdale. Sedbergh is situated just inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is only 12 miles from the Lake District National Park. The town, with its narrow streets, little shops, traditional pubs, famous school dating back to 1525 and its 12th century church, has an olde worlde atmosphere. Leading from Sedbergh is Dentdale, the jewel of the Yorkshire Dales with its rolling hills and dry stone walls, stretching 14 miles from the windswept moors below Whernside to the confluence of the Rivers Dee and Rawthey. At the centre of the dale is Dent, with its cobbled streets, which has existed since Norman times and nearby Dent railway station is on the renowned Settle-Carlisle railway line. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, and fishing, and the area is a paradise for walkers, ramblers, runners and cyclists. This, together with the tranquillity of the surrounding valleys, the two National Parks and it being England's book town, makes an ideal year-round holiday destination.
