    • “Location halfway between Bowness and Ambleside, child and pet friendly complex. Lodge was very clean with comfortable beds and modern living facilities.”

    Lorna G, May 2017

    • “I am a regular visitor to Bowness and I can honestly say that this is the best accommodation I have stayed at. 6 adults all the bedrooms spacious and modern. Clean all with flatscreens TV Bathrooms large Kitchen excellent with a wide range of utensils Living room area again really nice Outside decking unbelievably. Even though cold we sat outside due to the location of this lodge with a river running under the decking I stayed new year and the setting made our holiday. I would like to thank the owner who sent me an e mail before my stay with advice were to go . He didn’t have to do that but was really nice. This is a brand new lodge as I stayed a few years again at the old lodge Will be definitely returning. I wanted to book for next new year but it was already booked Once again thanks to everyone involved in letting my family stay”

    Mr Murphy, Liverpool, December 2018

    • “The lodge was stunning with everything needed for a short stay and of a high standard. We would love to stay again. One of the children left an ipad in the lodge and the owner went above and beyond to track it down and have this returned to us. We are grateful for her help. We would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful, well positioned lodge.”

    Mrs Hornby, Wigan, November 2018

    • “I thought it was a wonderful place - everything about it was spectacular, cozy and clean My family and I felt very welcome in the food and drink area and we enjoyed the entertainment very much We are returning in February as we loved it so much”

    Mrs Lynskey, Liverpool, November 2018

    • “We couldn't not fault anything it was great didn't want to come home my little mini Schnauzer love walking ronud the decking and watching people walk past we deffenitly recemend it the lodge is 5 star +”

    Mrs Foy, Crewe, November 2018

    Mrs Booth, Hinckley, October 2018

    • “Had lovely week owner emailed and welcomed us which was nice. The lodge was beautiful lots of space and very well equipped, we had 5 adults a baby and a dog and had no problems. The site was well kept and picturesque and you could walk down to the edge of the lake. The location was great for exploring the lakes onsite shop not great but the petrol station 5mins walks away had good mini supermarket, we also had an online shop delivered to the lodge with no problems. You can pick up the lakes boat trip from brockhole which is a 10 minute walk from the site if you want a day off driving. Everywhere is very dog friendly including the lodge and site. We had a fantastic week here, very impressed.”

    Mrs Field, Whitstable, August 2018

    • “Accommodation was 5 star and a real home from home. Would recommend this property to friends and family and definitely stay here again.”

    Mr Hemmings, Coventry, August 2018

    • “The accommodation was outstanding! The park was lovely too - very impressed with the dog exercise area (good to have the space for dogs). However, unfortunately the bins were rather full plus we had a large unit which was an old toilet/shower block left right outside our front (Wednesday). When enquiries were made, we were advised this would be moved in the morning and to bear with them but it wasn’t, it was still there when we left Friday. There was ample space to leave this further up the road away from direct view of lodges.”

    Mrs Stone, Ely, July 2018

    • “We all really enjoyed our holiday, the lodge was amazing and so beautiful, we will definitely be returning again soon.”

    Mrs Walker, Doncaster, May 2018

    • “Absolutely beautiful”

    Mrs Halliday, Halifax, May 2018

    • “The lodge was beautiful! Finished to a very high standard! Site was perfect! Would highly recommend!”

    Mrs Nethercot, Walsall, May 2018

    • “Beautiful well equipped accommodation, location was perfect , very helpful staff, the lodge was five star luxury, we will not hesitate to book again.”

    Mrs Clegg, Blackpool, April 2018

    • “Accommodation was lovely. Issue with microwave was dealt with promptly”

    Mrs Brown, Attleborough, February 2018

    • “The position of the property was on one of the best parts of the site. The facilities available at the site were at a good standard and the site's location made it easy to travel to Ambleside and other areas of The Lake District. We have been visiting the Lake District for many years and have usually stayed at a B&B or Hotel/Inn. The value-for-money offered by booking a Sykes Cottage means that never again will I consider anything but a self-contained property. We booked this property as I was celebrating a special birthday and could do so with my offspring and their spouses, staying for a long weekend, at no extra cost. The total cost for a week was cheaper than for just myself and hubby to stay at a B&B”

Mrs Graves, Catterick Garrison, November 2017

    • “nice lodge..felt like more like a cottage very homely..”

Mrs Graves, Catterick Garrison, November 2017

    Mrs Foy, Crewe, October 2017

    • “Great place in a great location, close to plenty of activities for the whole family.”

    Mr Dondi, Bracknell, August 2017

    • “Everything great except the weather !!! Typical Lake District. A couple of issues whilst we were there but sorted immediately by very friendly Sykes staff.”

    Mr Smith, Preston, June 2017

    • “Lodge was very well equipped, and in an excellent location.”

    Mrs Craig, Ayr, April 2017
