“The lodge was well equipped and clean but is in need of some maintenance.”

The bathroom especially. The outside space ie the decking was very disappointing. The decking was covered in debris from the very close trees and looked like it had not been cleaned since winter. The furniture was all covered in moss the cushions were very wet and we had to try and dry them before we could use them. The deck does not get any sun on it as it is completely shaded by trees.

Thank you for your review and for the telephone conversation we had after you wrote it, which allowed us to clarify what the small bathroom maintenance issues were. We attend to all maintenance requests on the day they are reported to us as a matter of course. Unfortunately, in this case we weren't told about about the loose soap dish, seat and toilet roll holder during the course of your stay. However, we were grateful to know about them afterwards as this allowed us to rectify them immediately and maintain the high standard of the bathroom and lodge as a whole for future guests. We are very sorry that you found the external cushions to be wet, but the entire decking area had in fact been thoroughly cleaned and treated by a professional refurbishment company only a week before your arrival. Unfortunately leaves can blow onto the decking area of the lodges during periods of wind or storms and it seems this may have been the case here. We are grateful for your comments about the high standard of cleanliness and equipment in the lodge and hope that these other small issues did not detract from your overall enjoyment. Many thanks, the owners. Owner relations
