    • “Absolutely fantastic cottage in an fabulous location! Surpassed our expectations on cleanliness! Beautifully finished to a high standard- would definitely recommend this cottage! The location was perfect for exploring the Lakes. Shops/cafes/pubs/takeaways a 5 min walk away. Brilliant!”

    • “Just spent a lovely week here with my partner, 4 month old son, in laws and our dog! Didn't want for anything our whole stay, very good modern facilities ie. Wifi, travel cot, fully equipped kitchen/bathrooms and wood burner. It is in a perfect location only minutes away from Windermere and a 15 minute walk to Bowness and the lake. The owners have also left a very helpful, comprehensive guide in the living room including instructions for heating etc, takeaway menus and even a list of dog friendly pubs in the area. We would definitely return and will be recommending to friends and family!!”

    • “Stayed in the lovely Cosy Nook, perfect for any visitor to Windermere. Cottage is beautifully decorated, with a log burning stove and wifi! Location: Just 2 min walk from the village of village of Windermere, and a 10-15min walk down to Bowness and the Lake. Will definitely return!!”

    • “Had a fantastic weekend in fact wishing we were still there. For my Wifes birthday we stayed here with my mother and our daughter 4 in all, plus our King charles spaniel and her pup, so close to windermere centre. we took our own hardwood logs and kindling as we have woodturners at home however you can purchase locally. Will definitely return!”

    • “Having just got back from our stay, all I can say is what a fantastic long weekend we have had! The location of this cottage is excellent- a very short drive to Lake Windermere and to Ambleside. Some lovely little cafe bars in walking distance to the cottage, which had heat lamps in a cosy seating area outside which was great for us as we brought our dog along for the holiday! The cottage was extremely clean, very well maintained- either the cottage has just recently been refurbished (to a high standard) or the cleaners do an excellent job at maintaining the high standard! Lots of DVDs, games, freebies TV, books and Wifi we all provided, along with the necessities such as toilet roll, towels and washing up liquid!! A great place which we will be recommending to all friends and family!!!!”

    • “Myself, wife, baby, inlaws & dog loved our holiday here. Cottage finished to a really high standard & spotlessly clean. Great location & very easy to find. We'd all happily stay there again.”

    • “Perfect place for a small family”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “We stayed at Cosy Nook during the Autumn and were actually rather fortunate to have some good weather. Never the less, it was still quite chilly (we live in Australia and so are used to the heat). However, this made the wood burner even more spectacular and appreciated. Ultimately, this place literally feels like the most coy place on the Lakes. It's not massive, but it doesn't need to be and is quite modern and makes excellent use of the space available. The en suit in the main bedroom is very good. The open plan living area downstairs has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and cooker. The only slight downfall would be the unavailability of a baby basinet for our 3 month old (but anyone travelling with a baby usually carries a travel cot anyway). This place prompted my wife to proclaim that if we win the lottery, we'll buy a holiday home in Windermere. While that probably won't happen, if we stay in the Lakes again, we'll certainly consider this as an option first.”

    • “Excellent Cottage”

    • “A very well presented cottage, very clean and modern. The two bathrooms came in very handy though the lounge/kitchen was a little bit on the small side. Very well decorated througout and very close to all of the amenities of Windermere. It has a small outside space within a small courtyard too. We were able to park on the street throughout our time there. Would certainly recomend this cottage to others.”

    • “Fantastic Dog friendly snug Cottage.”

    • “We loved our stay. Everything was practically brand new. The decor was great and overall the cottage was brilliant. The only issue was a slightly over enthusiastic smoke alarm but other than that We could not have asked for more . The location is fabulous too as it was nice and quiet but only 150 Meters from the centre if town. Well thought out and a perfect little spot for a break.”

    • “Cozy Nook”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “Stayed here with my 2 sisters for a week, the cottage was just 3 mins walk from a supermarket and various coffee shops as well as lots of other shops. Movie theatre just 20 mins walk away, ferry around the Lakes 30 mins walk and train station 10 mins walk around the corner, can even get the train from London. So many tourist attractions in the area, a car is a great idea for exploring the Lakes District which we did every day all day. York is just 150km drive along easy roads with wonderful scenery. Next time I would spend more than a week in this area as there is just so much to do. Would definately recommend this cottage to friends and family alike.”

    • “Long relaxing weekend away with Dogs!”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “I booked this cottage from the lovely reviews, I wanted something modern, clean, within easy reach of shops/cafes, but also be able to go off to the mountains on long walks with the dogs!! The cottage was well appointed, clean and modern, nicely decorated, with almost everything you would need, I was surprised to find out on arrival there was no WiFi, as I have always had this even in the remotest locations around the world, the cottage is advertised as having a garden (which is one of the reasons I booked it) as we took two dogs, and a garden was a must really, as I anticipated being able to let them into the garden so we could play with them, or sit out, the only outside space is directly outside the front door, and bcos there are several other occupied cottages right next to Cosy Nook we couldn't do this, so think this should really be taken out of the description as a little mis- leading! The cottage is warm and well heated, we lit the fire a couple of times, the only other thing I would have wanted was a 'welcome pack' of a few teabags, pint of milk, sml pack of coffee as after a long drive a cuppa something is the first thing we wanted! the booking wasn't cheap for 4 nights, so I expected a bit more from it (as noted above) but I have already recommended cosy nook to a cottage, so its was lovely but a few improvments could be made. thanks”

    • “Just spent New year at the Cosy Nook with my wife and son (and our dog Jessie) and had a superb couple of days. The cottage was absolutely spotless clean and was equipped with everything we needed and more. Couldn’t be more pleased. Would definitely go back.”

    Mr Chapman, Burnley, December 2018

    • “The cottage was a great central base for our holiday. It was a lovely, warm welcoming little home to return to each day. It was very well equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Parking could possible be a problem in high season, but we didn't have any difficulties in Sept.”

Mrs Griffiths, Pen-y-Bont Ar Ogwr, September 2018

    • “Lovely pettite cottage, excellent location close to town centre. Nice clean kitchen and bathrooms, everything you need is there and well equipped with WiFi and smart TV.”

    Mr Macqueen, Beith, August 2018

    • “Parking is difficult as on the street & town busy. Cottage v clean & well appointed.”

    Mrs Yeadon, Pewsey, July 2018

    • “Downfalls were the electrics were a bit dodgy, as for example the wall lights in the living room kept flashing on and off. Also we had to buy a washing up bowl. Little annoyed about the cleaner complaining there was cornflakes in the Hoover to my brother in law who went to take the parking pass back. There was no dustpan so we had to use the Hoover maybe we should have left them on the floor for her. One other point is that the ensuite toilet seat needs changing there is an unsightly mark underneath it which was there when we arrived and would not come off. Having said all this the cottage was very nice and bigger than we expected and we did enjoyed our stay.”

    Mitchell, Nottingham, July 2018

    • “Fantastic cottage , well positioned. Great access to lots of walks and local amenities are great.”

    Mrs Cording, Banbury, July 2018

    • “This cottage is located very near to all of Windermere amenities. We enjoyed our experience of Bowness and the local sights as well and would love to visit the area again. We found the owner of the cottage to be very helpful and quick in responding to helping us organising our stay”

    Miss Brown, Sheffield, June 2018

    • “A lovely, cosy cottage in the heart of Windermere, close to all local amenities, which had everything we needed for a most enjoyable stay. Highly recommended and we would definitely consider going again.”

    Mr Lane-owen, Ilminster, November 2017

    • “Great little cottage located in the town centre close to all the restaurants and shops. Only downside if you have pets is that it has no back yard. Parking can be a tad tricky as nothing at the cottage but you have a permit for the local streets, but this can be some way if its busy.”

    Mr Andrews, Chorley, November 2017

    • “Cosy Nook was a fantastic place to stay very well equipped with a nice homely feel to it. Would definitely recommend for a Lake District holiday.”

    Mr Archer, Epsom, October 2017

    • “Angela, the owner was extremely helpful. She responded very quickly to any queries I had. The cottage was in a great location and although parking was street parking (permit provided) we always found a space very near the cottage.”

    Mrs Pick, CALDICOT, September 2017

    • “Perfectly situated for the centre of Windermere. Good for eating out and most places are dog friendly. Enjoyable and friendly town.”

Mr Mcintyre, Boldon Colliery, June 2017

    • “Cottage was beautiful, plenty of room and in a perfect location for all local amenities. Came with parking permit and we had no issues with parking .”

    Mr Potter, IBSTOCK, June 2017

    • “Great location and facilities. Requires a map of the parking options. Great stay.”

    Mr Hopson, Doncaster, May 2017

    • “The let was dirty and shower bracket Brocken. The bracket was repaired the nex day. Photos of the dirty bed sheet, flooring, rug with urine stains and g string found next to hairdryer provided to the owner with brief description of the main issues. Owner explained they not happy with their cleaner or our experience. We left 3 days earlier than planned. It spoiled a significant anniversary.”
